Buying from Mill Cottage Plants

All orders are sent by 24hr courier to ensure safe and swift delivery. Delivery may take place between Tuesday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

We will give you notice by phone of delivery date. Your parcel will need a signature on delivery unless specifically waived and written instructions for leaving your parcel unattended given to be passed on to the driver. (It will be left according to your instructions but at your own risk)

Plants indicated 'Avail. Summer'

If your order includes plants that will not be available until the summer, your entire order will be held over until all the plants are ready.

If you would like to divide the order to receive those ready immediately, followed by those ready in summer, please include two postal charges (see below) - one for each consignment.

Postage and Packing Charges - UK Mainland.

There is no minimum order but the postal charges below apply to all orders regardless of size:

£11.00 for up to (around) £50.00 worth of plants

£2.00 for every £10.00 worth of plants thereafter.

Orders above £100 in value will be calculated at cost.

Mail Order to Non-Mainland UK & Northern Scotland.

Delivery by Royal Mail only between October and March only:

£11.00 for up to (around) £50.00 worth of plants

£4.00 for every £10.00 worth of plants thereafter.

Please bear in mind that dormant plants are more tolerant of slow deliveries. We therefore cannot send plants by Royal Mail after the end of March 2008. Although we cannot send plants marked 'Avail. for summer' to non-mainland addresses in the summer, we can reserve them for autumn 2008 delivery. Please give us a ring. 01749 676966

Mail order to EC countries.

Postal charges from £20.00 sterling. Please do not enclose your cheque. We will invoice you and send your order on in receipt of payment.

We do not export to Non- EC countries.

Payment from within UK.

Payment by credit card.

We accept all major credit cards: MasterCard, Maestro (domestic), Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Solo, JCB. We are however unable to accept; Electron, Maestro International or Amercan Express. All credit/debit card transactions will occur over the 'phone for your security.

Payment by cheque

Please ensure you send a LIMIT CHEQUE made payable to:

MILL COTTAGE PLANTS

Leave the amount in figures and the words blank. Cross your cheque with the words 'Not to exceed £...' (the sum should be the sum total of plants and postage). Sign and date the cheque. Your cheque will be presented the week before your parcel is sent.

Collections of orders.

You are of course most welcome to collect your order from the nursery, but please could you email or ring to confirm this, and give us at least three days notice. We will hold your order for one month from the arranged date of collection unless another date is arranged.

Local delivery.

Orders over £50.00 can be delivered within a 20 mile radius for a small charge to cover fuel costs.

Complaints.

I believe my plants to be correctly named and in good health. However, if a mistake does occur or a plant is found to be in any way unsatisfactory, I will refund or replace the plant/plants if you inform me within three weeks of despatch. I regret that I cannot accept responsibility for the failure of plants due to weather conditions, planting conditions or incorrect treatment there-after, nor for loss or damage of plants in transit.

Prices.

This website supersedes all earlier lists and catalogues. The prices of plants on the nursery may be changed as deemed necessary due to potting on, etc.

We are not VAT registered.
